Seit über 60 Jahren verfolgt das Konsortium das Ziel, die Herstellung und den Vertrieb der Weine des Langhe und Roero zu schützen. Das Konsortium hat über 500 Mitglieder, die ihre Weine mit viel Leiden-schaft und Sorgfalt herstellen. Sie bleiben den Traditionen der Weinherstellung treu, profitieren zugleich aber von den technologischen Neuerungen im Weinanbau und der Weinproduktion.

Der Barolo wird als einer der berühmtesten und besten Weine Italiens auch "Wein der Könige und König der Weine" genannt, der Babaresco gilt als "Königin der Weine".
